Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following incidents:

• 8:46 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 700 block of West Portland Street, Syracuse. A female reported a battery.
• 6:21 Friday, Sept. 18, 800 block of South Harkless Drive, Syracuse. Karen J. Bender reported an animal bite.
