Margo Sammons was so happy that she had finally come in to the Syracuse Library. She discovered that she could get a card because she owns property on Lake Wawasee. All property owners are entitled to a resident card. Sammons was even more excited when she discovered she can use the Evergreen card she already has to return books through her home library.

Tim Dorsey

The premier adult discussion group, Dysfunctional, is reviewing the writing career of Florida author Tim Dorsey, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24. The book club is a powerpoint centered discussion about the author and the series of Serge Storms books. Emphasis will be placed on the books “Triggerfish Twist” and “Stingray Shuffle.” Fans of Florida mayhem, Dorsey, and mystery fiction are invited to come to this last meeting of the summer.

Good Used Books

The Friends of the Library are requesting that anyone who is thinking about donating their gently used books to bring them to the Syracuse Library now. Proceeds from the ongoing used book sale help finance special programs for children, young adults, and adults. A letter of acceptance can be written by the library for tax purposes.
