CULVER – A slow start led to a loss for the Lakeland Christian Academy soccer team at Culver Tuesday night.

The host Cavaliers booted home six goals in the opening half en route to the 7-0 win.

Juniors Cross Williams and Melissa Goss led the LCA defensive effort in the final half. Sophomore Garrett McCoomb led the offensive effort for the Cougars.

Culver had a 9-2 edge in shots on goal in the match.

LCA, now 0-11, will face Lakewood Park Christian on Thursday.
