AKRON – Northfield has no trouble rolling over Tippecanoe Valley Friday night, 59-7, in football at Death Valley.

Northfield erupted for a 35-0 lead heading into the half and kept going, scoring three touchdowns in the third quarter before calling off the dogs.

Quarterback Alec Craig scored Valley’s lone touchdown in the fourth quarter. Craig was 6-13 for 58 yards and two interceptions and gained 57 yards on the ground on seven carries.

Garrett Bell added 53 yards on 18 carries and Jarod Duzenbery had three catches for 32 yards for the Vikings. Bell added eight solo and eight assisted tackles and forced a fumble on the defensive side of the ball. Dalton Peter led the Viking defense with nine tackles and added four assists. DeSean Heckman had three tackles, and interception and a fumble recovery.

Tippecanoe Valley (1-3) will visit Whitko (1-3) next Friday while Northfield (4-0) will travel to 0-4 Manchester.
