Grace Match Named NAIA Network Game Of The Week
WINONA LAKE – Grace’s women’s soccer team will be in the national spotlight on Saturday as their matchup against Oklahoma City was named the NAIA Network Game of the Week.
The NAIA No. 15-ranked Lady Lancers (5-0) and the Stars (2-0) will face off in a neutral-field match at the John Brown Invitational in Siloam Springs, Ark., at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Grace will also play the hosts John Brown on Thursday of the tournament. Both John Brown and Oklahoma City are “receiving votes” in the NAIA Top 25 Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
The Lady Lancers are enjoying a perfect start to the season. Grace has yet to surrender a goal defensively, helping goalkeeper Abby Schue earn the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week honor on Monday.
The NAIA Network Game of the Week highlights member schools that utilize live video-streaming with Stretch Internet and is different from the traditional NAIA Game of the Week. Check out www.NAIANetwork.com for the official video-streaming portal of the NAIA.
