
WARSAW — A local man was arrested yesterday for allegedly strangling a female during an argument at his residence in May.
According to an affidavit filed by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, on May 13, officers were called to respond to a battery complaint. Upon arrival, a female victim stated at 4:30 p.m. she entered into an argument with Brant Kyle Campbell at his residence located at 1306 Kuder Lane, Warsaw.
During the argument, Campbell allegedly grabbed the woman by the throat with both hands and applied pressure until she could no longer breathe. He also grabbed and held the woman in place by her arms during the argument.
According to the woman’s employer, she had shared the account while at work with her boss and red marks were visible on the victim’s neck and arms.
Campbell was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Wednesday, Sept. 8, on one count of strangulation, a level 6 felony charge, and one count of domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor charge. Campbell was given a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
