
The driver of a car that struck and critically injured a Middlebury teenager came forward today to speak with detectives.Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigators issued information today saying they were looking for the driver of a Cadillac that was involved in the hit and run that left Zion Carlstrom in critical condition with head and leg injuries.
ECSD this evening says Pasquale Rulli, 26, of Middlebury, came forward and has been talking to investigators. Rulli was operating a 2008 Cadillac STS when he struck Carlstrom from behind.
The crash happened at approximately 10:19 p.m. Tuesday on CR 35, north of U.S. 20 in Middlebury. Investigators indicate Carlstrom was riding her bicycle southbound on CR 35 when she was struck from behind.The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says the investigation continues.
