WARSAW — Residents in the area of Sophie Lane, Warsaw, were evacuated from their homes after police were alerted to the presence of suspicious items in the parking lot at Canterbury Apartments, Warsaw.
Two teenagers were arrested and face charges of possession and manufacturing of a destructive device, a level 5 felony.
Arrested were Nathanial Dean Robinson, 19, 528 Sophie Lane, Warsaw, and Seth Andrew Syndram, 19, 779 E. 400S, Warsaw. They are each being held on $10,250 surety/cash bond. The charges are level 5 felonies.
Officers found four over pressure explosive devices along with the remnants of at least three previously detonated devices. With the guidance of the South Bend Police Department Bomb Squad and the assistance of the Warsaw/Wayne Township Fire Department, the items were successfully disarmed and disposed.
