AKRON – Taylor Gunter was the top finisher for the Tippecanoe Valley Middle School cross country team Saturday in the Manchester Invitational.

Gunter placed 14th overall in the girls’ varsity race in a time of 12:55.4.

Ava Craig was the second Valley runner to hit the finish line as she placed 42nd overall in a time of 13:57.6. Emma Craig was 77th in 14:58.8, followed by teammates Alyssa Bell in 84th (15:17.3), Bethany Johnson in 88th (15:36.1), Sydney Rhamey in 90th (15:42.7) and Valeria Jimenez in 96th (16:11.6).

Colt Demske was the top finisher in the boys’ JV race for Valley as he was 68th overall in a time of 12:51.3. Zach Landis was 70th in 12:56.2 and Logan Hummitch 88th in 14:00.1

Hanna Lowman placed 10th overall to lead Valley in the girls’ JV race in a time of 14:36.4. Maria Henderson was 15th in 14:40.3 and Alicia Johnson 82nd in 18:28.1.
