Inez B. Caywood, 89, of Syracuse, passed away at 12:28 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015 at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1926, in Churubusco, to Edward E. & Mabel Ann (Geiger) Gordon.

On Jan. 20, 1945, in Warsaw, she married Roy O. Caywood Jr. who survives.

She lived most of her life in North Webster/Syracuse area and graduated in 1944 from North Webster High School. She retired from Depuy in Warsaw, after 28 years and was formerly employed with Keith Horn & Horn Sunnymead in Warsaw.

She was a member of Church of God, Hi Neighbors Club and the former Efficient Homemakers Club all in North Webster.

She is survived by her husband: Roy Caywood of Syracuse; two daughters: Jackie (William) Kitson of Syracuse and Christine (Dave) Waldrop of Syracuse; six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister: Lavon Steffen of Fort Wayne; brother: Raymond (wife, Jo Ann) Gordon of Wolcottville; and two sisters-in-law: Edith Gordon of Fort Wayne and Margie Gordon of Columbia City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Sandra Weisser; sister: Geneva Gordon; and three brothers: Clifford, Virgil and Norman Gordon.

Visitation will be from 2–4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N in North Webster. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Church of God, 302 N. Main St., North Webster, with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Cable Cemetery near Syracuse.
