Marvin Marshall, 54, of Akron, Ind., passed at 9:58 p.m., Thursday, Oct, 11, 2012, at Hickory Creek Healthcare of Rochester, Ind.
He was born April 25, 1958, in Warsaw, Ind., to Laymon Ray and Betty Sue (Howard) Marshall.
Marvin worked at Champion Door of Warsaw for 10 years then he worked for Da-Lite Screening of Warsaw for 24 years. He loved woodworking as well as his very large music collection with as many as 3,000 plus albums.
He is survived by a grandmother: Rosie Prater; two brothers: Jimmy Ray Marshall, Rochester, Ind.; and Brian Butler Marshall, Kentucky; a half-sister: Shirley, Georgia; an aunt: Virgie (Doug) Holland, Talma, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Laymon Ray and Betty Sue Marshall; and a brother: DJ Marshall.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the funeral home with Pastor Luther Bailey. Burial will follow at Rochester IOOF Cemetery, Rochester.
