WINONA LAKE – Lakeland Christian Academy had several individuals earn spots among the Hoosier Plains Conference basketball awards.

Sisters Tori and Jessi Calizo were both named First Team All-Conference and Natalie Norris was named Second Team. Tori Calizo was also picked as an Academic All-HPC honoree.
Freshman Seth Martin was chosen as First Team All-HPC. Cam Shepherd earned Second Team All-HPC and teammate Matthew Helton got the job done in the classroom, earning Academic All-Conference.
To wrap up the girls list, the First Team also had Granger Christian’s Kara Kline and Erin Aldridge, Trinity’s Clare Hunsberger and Community Baptist’s Alayna Clifton. Second Teamers were Career Academy’s Kalia Howell and Kayle Howell, Trinity’s Clare Cullinan and Rachel Was, and Granger Christian’s Anna Ranous. Angel Morrow of Career Academy, AJ Thomas of Trinity and Mollie Aldridge of Granger Christian were Academic All-HPC.
LCA won the girls league championship.
To wrap up the boys list, the First Team also had Career Academy’s Antwon Vaughan and Jacary Spates, Trinity’s Mike Florin and Peter Rossi and Granger Christian’s Eli Smith. Second Teamers were Granger Christian’s Nathan Emswiler and Tommy Garcia, Community Baptist’s Zach Stewart and Trinity’s David Loughran. Ayden Clark of Career Academy, Owen Linczer of Trinity and Stewart were Academic All-HPC.
