Kathy S. Prater, 61, of Warsaw and formerly of Etna Green, passed Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at her residence where she resided for the last five years.

Kathy was born on Jan. 22, 1959, in Kosciusko County, to the late William and Wilma (Kindig) Prater. She was a lifetime area resident.

She was a 1978 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School where she was a member of the Future Home Makers of America Club. She had been a taxi driver and also a driver for the Cardinal Center. Kathy attended Cook’s Chapel Church of rural Warsaw for many years. She had been in years past a Kosciusko County 4-H Leader with goat club. She enjoyed cooking and shopping on QVC.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Chante) Prater, Etna Green; aunt, Bonnie Hile, Mentone.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Prater.

Following all county, state, and federal guidelines for social distancing, the graveside service for Kathy will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 7, at the Mentone Cemetery of Mentone, Indiana with Pastor Jason Rice officiating. For the health of all in attendance we encourage the public to wear masks.

Her interment will will in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, beside her mother.
