Allan E. Pitt, 88, Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake. Allan was born on Feb. 1, 1932, in Battle Creek, Mich. to Alfred and Frances (Harmon) Pitt. He was united in marriage to Carolyn J. Cosner on July 17, 1953, in Three Rivers, Mich.

Allan has been a resident of Warsaw since 1984, formerly of Kalamazoo, Mich. He graduated from Grand Rapids School of Bible Music, where he sang with the Choralaires. He was a self-employed Home Builder and Church Builder for Associated Church Builders and a salesman for Patten Monument of Warsaw. Allan was a former member of Oakwood Bible Church, Kalamazoo. He was also a member of Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw where he taught Sunday School, was an organist, an Awana Leader, and was active in the church softball as a player and he coached T-Ball.

He was devoted to his children and grandchildren, well know for his sense of humor and enjoyed fishing, camping and canoeing.

Allan is survived by children, Jaynan Montague of Holland, Mich.; David (Ami) Pitt of Warsaw; Nancy (Chris) Eaton of Portage, Mich.; sister, Carolyn (Terry) Guifoyle of Battle Creek, Mich. In addition he is survived by nine grandchildren: including Jennifer (Steve Turner) Montague, Chris (Gretchen) Montague, Kyle (Kadie) Cosner, Sarah (Aaron) Baier, Rissa (Ben) Wilson, Carolyn (Isaac) Wilson, Courtney Eaton, Cailey (Brandon) Little, Nicholas (Skye) Eaton and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn, in March 2017.

A private graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Pastor Todd Wilson officiating.

All arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
