Linda L. Gordon, 76, Columbia City, passed away at 11:35 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Miller’s Oak Pointe, Columbia City. Born on July 30, 1943, in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Mildred (Schooley) King.

Linda attended Wiley High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. She then furthered her education at Indiana State University and IPFW. She worked as a telephone operator supervisor at GTE, as a substitute teacher, and on staff at the Peabody Public Library.

Linda loved classic Hollywood films, traveling, art, and jazz.

Survivors include her mother, Mildred King; sister Caroline Milner; aunt Shirley Pesavento; cousins Sue (Pesavento) Babcock and Lisa (Pesavento) Shirley; nephews Jason and Brad Milner; son Shaun (Lowell) Gordon; grandchildren Waylon and Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Ray Gordon.

In accordance with the wishes of Linda, there will be no calling or service at this time.

Linda’s family prefers memorial gifts be given in her memory to Peabody Public Library.
