Carol Sue Ammerman, 65, Nappanee, died at 5:04 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2020, at South Bend Memorial Hospital.  She has fought a 3 year battle with various health issues.  Carol was born Nov. 9, 1954, in Wabash, In to Robert and Norma (Sowers) Hamsher.

Carol was lifetime area resident and a 1973 graduate of NorthWood High School.  On May 19, 2006 she married Dennis Miller.  He preceded her in death Sept. 1, 2017.  Carol was a homemaker.

Carol’s faith was very important to her.  She loved kids and dogs and enjoyed crafting and art.

Surviving is her son, Carter Robert (Abby) Ammerman, Shipshewana; sister, Nancy (Jerry) Neibert, Syracuse; and brothers, Roger Hamsher, Nappanee, and Richard (Judy) Hamsher, South Bend.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private family graveside services will be held at Union Center Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Ribbon of Hope – Elkhart General Hospital.
