John J. Kotzmacher, 70, Rochester, and formerly of Elkhart, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Saturday March, 28, 2020, at Life Care Center of Rochester.

He was born on Dec. 11, 1949, in South Bend, the son of Frank and Viola (Gerlach) Kotzmacher.

Mr. Kotzmacher had worked for the South Bend Tribune in distribution for many years.

Survivors include his sister, Shirley and husband Ron Garling, McCormick, S.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
