John J. Kotzmacher, 70, Rochester, and formerly of Elkhart, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Life Care Center of Rochester.

He was born on Dec. 11, 1949, in South Bend, the son of Frank and Viola (Gerlach) Kotzmacher.

Kotzmacher had worked for the South Bend Tribune in distribution for many years.

Survivors include his sister: Shirley (Ron) Garling, McCormick, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
