Irene Kay Slabaugh, 56, Bremen, died at 7:38 p.m., March 28, 2020, at home with her family at her side. She was a member of the Amish Church.

Irene was born Oct. 17, 1963, to Calvin and Fannie (Mast) Yoder.  On October 29, 1987, she married Lisle Slabaugh. They lived in Holy Matrimony 32 years, 5 months.

Surviving are her husband, Lisle; sons, Andrew Slabaugh (friend Amy Hochstetler), Earl (Elaine) Slabaugh, Joseph Slabaugh; daughters, Rosalie (David) Bontrager, Rebecca (Mark) Kuhns, Emily (Galen) Lehman, Ruth Slabaugh (friend Matthew Helmuth); six grandchildren; brothers, Henry Yoder, Ervin Yoder, Raymond Yoder, Lester Yoder, Calvin Yoder Jr., Weldon Yoder, Fred Yoder; and sisters, Sarah (Delbert) Chupp, Edna (John) Herz, and Erma (Gary) Troyer.  She was preceded in death by twin sons, Daniel and David; brother, Chris Yoder; sister, Verna Burkholder and her parents, Calvin and Fannie Yoder.

Due to national health concerns with the COVID-19 virus, Private family services will take place and burial will be in Cedar Road  Amish Cemetery.

Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
