ELKHART COUNTY — The local RV industry is feeling the impact. Thor Industries, Elkhart’s largest employer, announced it is temporarily suspending operations in North America and much of Europe in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

And yesterday Winnebago Industries said it is temporarily suspending production at its Winnebago, Grand Design RV, Chris-Craft and Newmar facilities. This affects hundreds of workers in Elkhart County. Winnebago says it will provide base pay and benefits for two weeks.
