Barbara G. Rhoades, 88, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at 6 a.m. in Paddock Springs Assisted Living Facility. Barbara was born on Jan. 14, 1932, in Kosciusko County, to Millard and Mary (Brown) Wallace. She was united in marriage to Robert Rhoades on Nov. 9, 1951, in Leesburg: he preceded her in death in 2013.

She graduated from Leesburg High School. She worked as a bindery technician for R.R. Donnelly and was a former telephone operator for the United Telephone Company. Barbara enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of the Leesburg Methodist Church.

Barbara is survived by children, Todd Rhoades, Teresa Rhoades, both of Warsaw; two granddaughters, Jenna (Eric) DeFord, of Warsaw, Sara (Steve) Hollar, of Leesburg; a sister,  Margaret “Peg” Shipley, of Rome City. In addition, she is survived by four great-grandchildren: Braxton and Zach DeFord, Khloe and Logan Hollar, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Rhoades, on Aug. 11, 2013.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
