Roger Dean Sumner Jr., 53, Syracuse, passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at his home. He was born on April 6, 1966, in Pittsburgh, Penn. to Roger Dean & Mary H. (Hahn) Sumner Sr.

He graduated in 1984 from Fox Chapel Area High School in Pittsburgh, PA and in 1990 from University of Texas in Arlington, Texas. He grew up in Pennsylvania and lived in Texas for 14 years before moving to Syracuse in 2000. He was formerly self- employed as a courier and managed several warehouses and retired in 2009.

He is survived by his siter, Sharon (Dennis) Lott, San Antonio, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. No services will be held. Private burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
