Janet F. Zimmerman, Goshen, 84, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab in Elkhart.

She was born Jan. 27, 1936, in Goshen, to Kenneth and Helen (Davidhizer) Kauffman. She married Harold R. Zimmerman in 1960, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1986.

Surviving Janet is a son: Bruce (Kim) Zimmerman, Goshen; granddaughters: Kaitlyn (Shawn) Dills and Rachel (Kyle) Wilson; four great-grandchildren; a sister: Doris Arlene (Allen) Reese, Plymouth; and a brother: Robert “Bob” (Mary) Kauffman, Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Nancy Moore; a brother: Wayne E. Kauffman; and a great-grandson: Mason A. Wilson.

She worked in central supply at Goshen Hospital, and also worked in housekeeping at Greencroft Healthcare. She lived in Goshen her entire life and was a lifelong fan of the Goshen Redskins.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, also at the funeral home. Pastor Jim Shrock will officiate. Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
