Joseph L. “Joey” Allen, 35, Rochester, passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, in Kewanna.

Born on Nov. 14, 1984, in Rochester, he was the son of Jerry and Lila (Phillips) Allen, Jr.

He was employed at Save A Lot in Rochester. Joey enjoyed coon hunting, taking care of his dogs, and being outdoors.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Lila Allen, Jr. of Loogootee, companion, Mariah Johnson of Rochester, sons, Brantley and Caleb Allen of Rochester, grandmother, Flora Allen of Loogootee, grandfather, Joseph Phillips of Loogootee, and sisters, Dawn Hartzburg (Jeremy) of Loogootee and Tangela Gleason of West Virginia.  He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandmother, Mary Phillips, grandfather, Jerry Allen, Sr. and aunt, Lora Allen.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, at Rans Funeral Home & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Loogootee.
