SOUTH BEND CAREER ACADEMY BOYS 74, LAKELAND CHRISTIAN 40

LCA couldn’t keep pace with its Hoosier Plains Conference rivals Thursday night in South Bend.

Seth Martin would lead the Cougars with 20 points and eight rebounds and Cam Shepherd dropped in 11 points. Matthew Helton added five points in the losing effort.

The Career Academy had five around or in double figures in the scorebook. Antwon Vaughn led the hosts with 15 points, and was followed by 12 from Jarell Williams, 11 from Jacary Spates, 10 from Matthew Saunders and nine from Tyvon Henry.

The Career Academy also won the JV by a count of 54-24.

LCA (5-17) host Oregon-Davis Friday night in its final regular season contest.

TIPPECANOE VALLEY 6TH GRADE 29, NORTH MIAMI 17

Dalynne Bussard, Betty Shepherd and Kyra Kiser all had big games for the Vikings in leading the team with eight points apiece. The three combined for 12 steals, eight rebounds and two assists. North Miami won the ‘B’ game 20-6. Autumn Parker pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds and Karley Hallstrom had eight rebounds for the Vikings.

TIPPECANOE VALLEY 7TH GRADE GIRLS 26, NORTH MIAMI 12

Valley used eight points from Mackaylie Costello, six points from Lydia Craig and four points each from Maddie Thompson and Bailey Bussard to trip up North Miami Thursday evening.

NORTH MIAMI 8TH GRADE 21, TIPPECANOE VALLEY 17

Despite eight points from Ava Smith, Valley wasn’t able to catch up to its rivals from the south. Chesnee Miller added four points in the loss.

NORTHWOOD 8TH GRADE GIRLS 28, JIMTOWN 24

NORTHWOOD 7TH GRADE GIRLS 36, JIMTOWN 15

Brooklynn Redd dominated the contest for NorthWood with 16 points and eight rebounds. Haylee Heflin had five points, including a halftime buzzer beater. In the 17-12 overtime ‘B’ win over Goshen, Brooklyn Goshert led the way with six points, three rebounds and three steals. Chloe Ratcliff added six steals and three rebounds.

LAKEVIEW 8TH GRADE GIRLS 52, MANCHESTER 8

It was a total team effort as every Tiger scored in the game. Leah Henderson led all players with 16 points followed by Joey Rastrelli with 14 points. Abigail Davis added seven points and Celia Mangun chipped in six points and four rebounds.

WESTVIEW 6TH GRADE GIRLS 19, WAWASEE 13

Iliana Burelison led the Warriors with seven points and Taelyn Tom was right behind with six points in the loss. The Wawasee ‘B’ team won 8-7, Corissa Knepper pacing the squad with four points.

WAWASEE 7TH GRADE GIRLS 38, CENTRAL NOBLE 12

The Warriors were led by Julie Mishler with a game-high 17 points and four rebounds. Molly Beer also chipped in six points, four rebounds, and two steals.

CENTRAL NOBLE 8TH GRADE GIRLS 25, WAWASEE 22

Kadence Shepherd and Abbi Burelison had six points each in the loss for Wawasee. Brooklyn Gibson grabbed nine rebounds and chipped in a bucket.
