Virginia D. Hanna, 89, Warsaw, passed away at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw. She was born on June 1, 1930, in Warsaw, to Vernon R. and Ida D. (Nine) Dimon.

She was a lifetime Warsaw area resident and graduated in 1948 from Warsaw High School. She was married on Oct. 29, 1948 in Warsaw, to Ardel Freeman Hanna who preceded her on Feb. 19, 2002. She was a homemaker and retired in 1992 from Zale Drugs in Warsaw after 12+ years.

She was a member of the Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church in Warsaw since 1960.

She is survived by her son, John R. (Carolyn) Hanna, Warsaw; six grandchildren: Michelle Blum, Sage (Derek) Olah, Jessica Hanna, Nicole (Tom) Westerhof, Heather Hanna, and Shane Hanna; 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Mark D. and Michael F. Hanna, and two infant twin brothers, Jackie and John Dimon.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 424 W. Market St., Warsa. Memorial services will follow in the church at 3 p.m. on Sunday with Rev. Ryan Fischer officiating. Private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
