Cameron Wayne Hackworth spent 47 days filling his parents’ hearts with love.
He was born on Dec. 6, 2019, in Huntington, to Timothy W. Hackworth and Leah M. (Anderson) Ortiz, Kimmell. He was called to Heaven at 3:20 a.m. Jan. 22, 2020.
Although his life was short, he filled his parents’ hearts with a lifetime of love. He gave those around him courage by the strength in which he fought and his will to live. He will always be remembered by his parents as their “little prize fighter.”
He will be forever cherished by his parents; his brother: Michael Ortiz; his three sisters: Lydia Ortiz, Jaqueline Ortiz and Shelby Hackworth; his paternal grandparents: Linda and Timothy Hackworth, North Manchester; his paternal great-grandparents: Rick and Kathleen Hicks, South Whitley; his maternal grandparents: Angela and Juan Ramirez, North Manchester; maternal great-grandparents: Jack and Darlene Wagner, North Manchester; three aunts: Melinda Hackworth, Shailea (Tyler) Singleton and Lexi Ramirez; three uncles: Jacob (Jennifer) Anderson, Juan Ramirez, and Layton Ramirez and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by two great-grandparents and a great-uncle: Joshua Allen Hicks.
A celebration of life for will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 West, North Manchester, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Jacob Anderson will officiate the service.
