Norma J. Lemler

Norma J. Lemler, 76, Bourbon, passed away after complications of surgery Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, in St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis.

Norma was born the daughter of Carroll and Olive Cudney Lotz, March 30, 1943, at Tyner. She has been a life long resident of the area, mostly the Bourbon area. She was a very faithful member of the Bourbon First United Methodist Church sharing the gospel through her faith and outreach. It could be said that her church was #1 in her life. She enjoyed sewing (seamstress to many) and crafts. Norma was the custodian of her church and the Director of the church pantry.

On September 27, 1987, Norma married Daniel R. Lemler who preceded in death April 7, 2002. Together they each brought children into the family. Those left to remember Norma is her children; daughters: Brenda and David Haag of Walkerton, Tonya Shuster of Etna Green, sons: Steven Weidner and Michael Weidner both of Bourbon, along with ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren. Also surviving is Norma’s siblings: Nancy Garbison of La Paz, Ruth Martin of Elkhart and Kenneth and Penny Kennedy of Plymouth. Step-children include: Rev. Noah and Irene Lemler, Larry and Sharon Lemler and Irvin and Carol Lemler of oBourbon. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Wayne Weidner, great-grandson Cameron Scarberry (Sept. 17, 2017), and her sister Carol Joann Long.

Visitation only will be held in the Bourbon First United Methodist Church 204 N. Washington St., Bourbon, IN 46504 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation with her Pastors, Kenneth Cooke and Rob Seewald both officiating. Grave side services will follow at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church for the Food Pantry.
