Donald “Don” G. Sexton, 59, Pierceton, passed away at 2:20 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019, in Parkview Whitley Hospital. Don was born on Oct. 8, 1960, in Martin, Ky. to Ronnie and Bonnie (Adkins) Sexton. He was united in marriage to Janis Hammersley on July 6, 1995.

Don was a resident of Kosciusko Co. for most of his lifetime. He worked as a maintenance man for Rinker Boats. Don was a former street stock car racer at New Paris Speedway.  His hobbies included being a mechanic and working on cars at his home. Don enjoyed mowing the yard and being outdoors.

Don is survived by wife, Janis Sexton of Pierceton; children, Stacy Sexton of South Whitley; Nicol Smith of South Whitley; Michael Sexton of Pierceton; Stephanie (Joshua) England of Claypool; Sergeant Sara Engle of Ossian; Johnathon (Elizabeth) Shafer of Pierceton; Lori (CJ) Jared of Milford; and Christine Shafer of Pierceton. In addition, Don is survived by his father, Ronnie Sexton of Pierceton; 16 grandchildren; siblings; Connie (Ron) Ringle of Pierceton; Christina (Ed) Hartman of Missouri, James Sexton, of Pierceton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Visitation will be from  2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday,  Dec. 29, at McHatton- Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 30, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton with Pastor Erin Huiras officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
