PIERCETON — An armed robbery occurred at the Lake City Bank, Monday afternoon, Dec. 23.

At around 2 p.m., law enforcement responded to a report of an armed robbery at Lake City Bank, 108 South First Street, Pierceton.

Few details were available at the scene. However, a sign on the bank’s door says “Temporarily Closed” following the incident. Police were apparently pursuing the suspect.

The Pierceton incident happened just hours after an attempted robbery took place around 11:30 a.m. at First Federal Savings Bank in Warsaw.

It was unclear if the two were connected in any way.
