WARSAW — The VFW James W. Sittler Post 1126 and the Auxiliary Post 1126 each presented checks to the Beaman Home in the amount of $500 each, for a total of $1,000.
The James W. Sittler Post 1126 and Auxiliary donate to a nonprofit organization each year during the holiday season.
“The veterans of James W. Sittler Post 1126 voted to donate $500 and the Auxiliary voted to also donate $500 to the Beaman Home,” Post 1126 Commander Bob Dockery said. “We chose the Beaman Home due to the increase of children.”
“We are very grateful to the VFW Post 1126 and VFW Auxiliary for their support of Beaman Home. This donation helps provide safe shelter and warm meals, as well as some Christmas cheer, for our families that are here fleeing domestic violence,” said Jennifer Hayes, executive director of the Beaman Home. “Without the generosity of kind people like these we would not be able to serve as many as we do this time of year.”
