Charma L. Burton, 75, Wabash, for the past six years but, formerly of North Manchester passed away Dec. 18, 2019, at Miller’s Merry Manor West in Wabash. Born Jan. 27, 1944, in Wabash County, she was the daughter of Allan and Lois (Steele) Clark.

Charma graduated from Manchester High School class of 1962. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching T.V. especially soap operas while she had Pepsi and barbeque chips. Charma married John H. Burton on Aug. 9, 1963. When John H. passed away on June 3, 1999, a part of her went with him.

Charma will be dearly missed by her son, John A. (Laura Bowman) North Manchester; three daughters, Tanya (Donald) Houston, Rochester; Angela Burton, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Dawn (Doug) Johnson, North Manchester; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Sheila Burton, Kathy Johnson, Diana Good, and one grandson.

A memorial service for Charma will be held at a later date at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester at a later date.
