ROCHESTER —  Alyssa Shepherd, 25, Rochester, will apparently serve up to four years in prison after being convicted in the deaths of three children at a bus stop outside of Rochester last year.

Shepherd was sentenced to a 10-year sentence after hitting and killing three children and seriously injuring a fourth last year as they were crossing a road to board a school bus.

Three years of the sentence was ordered suspended. Shepherd will serve four years at the Indiana Department of Corrections and three years on either home detention or in community corrections.

Shepherd’s driver’s license was suspended for 10 years.
