Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

8:26 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 8345 S. SR 19, south of West CR 900S, Akron. Driver: Brandon L. Ault, 36, South SR 25, Warsaw. Ault was turning his vehicle around in a parking lot when his vehicle struck a light pole. Ault and a passenger in his vehicle, Natasha Ault, 37, Warsaw, both complained of neck and back pain but refused medical treatment at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.

2:04 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, East CR 700N, near North CR 200E, Warsaw. Drivers: Kenneth A. Haack, 59, EMS B37 Lane 9, Warsaw; and Larry A. Galloway, 76, East CR 750N, Leesburg. Haack was stopped on CR 200E at an intersection and thought traffic was clear. As he proceeded south across CR 700N, he was struck by Galloway’s vehicle. Haack complained of left hip pain but refused medical treatment at the scene. Galloway and a passenger in his vehicle, Tisha Galloway, 48, Leesburg, both complained of back pain and were treated at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.

10:05 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, West CR 900S, near South SR 19, Akron. Drivers: Jessy D. Weitzel, 18, West SR 14, Silver Lake; and Amanda M. Wright, 43, East SR 14, Akron. Weitzel was traveling west on CR 900S when he rear-ended Wright’s vehicle. His vehicle then struck a stop sign. Damage up to $5,000.

7:16 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, South SR 25, east of South CR 800W, Mentone. Driver: Jeremiah D. Rhodes, 20, North Broadway Street, Mentone. Rhodes was traveling east on SR 25 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

5:56 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, Widaman Street, south of Western Drive, Winona Lake. Driver: Thaddeus M. Borchers, 53, Widaman Street, Winona Lake. Borchers was backing his vehicle from a driveway when he struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
