Opal Grace Vance, 100, Goshen, died 10:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 at Greencroft Healthcare.
Vance was born Oct. 4, 1919 in Millersburg, to Oliver Jasper & Alta Elizabeth (Brock) Sark. On Feb. 4, 1940, in Shipshewana, she married Everett C. Vance and he died Oct. 8, 1997.
Surviving are daughters, Beverly (Steven) Butt, Rotunda West, Florida, Barbra (Allen) Postma, Flower Mound, Texas, sons, Blaine (Jane) Vance, Janesville, Wisconsin, Brian (Stacey) Vance, Fort Wayne, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, daughter, Brenda Poff, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Opal was a 1937 graduate of Millersburg High School. She was a seamstress, homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fish Lake.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019. The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Rev. James Clifton will officiate. Burial will follow at Benton Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fish Lake.
