Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:

6:27 a.m. Monday, Lake City Highway near East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Sandra R. Blocher, 70, North SR 13 Lot 51, North Manchester; and Jessica E. Peterson, 25, East CR 450N, Mentone. Blocher said she was driving west on Lake City Highway approaching the intersection of East Center Street. She said she was driving in the left lane, proceeded into the intersection and collided with Peterson’s left-turning vehicle. Peterson said she had the green left-turn traffic signal and Blocher disregarded a red traffic signal while traveling west. Blocher complained of chest pain. Peterson complained of head pain. Damages up to $5,000.

1:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, Wood Street near East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Deangello G. Granados, 22, East Reynolds Street Apt. 2, Goshen. Granados backed his vehicle into a parked unoccupied vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.

5:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 920-108 Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Max Lichtenberger, 76, Anchorage Road Lot 110, Warsaw. Lichtenberger moved his vehicle over for another to pass in and sideswiped a parked unoccupied vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.

2:47 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2211 East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Paul J. Westerberg, 42, West Old Road 30 612, Warsaw; and Bradley J. Kimpel, 43, CR 36, Goshen. Kimpel was backing his vehicle out of a parking spot and the rear of his vehicle collided with the rear of Westerberg’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.

11:28 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, Buffalo Street near Prairie Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Tammy V. Dempsey, 54, East CR 600S, Warsaw; and Deborah A. Boyts, 60, EMS C27C1 Lane, Warsaw. Dempsey was driving her vehicle south on Buffalo Street with she changed lanes and sideswiped Boyts’ vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.

2:43 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, South SR 25 near West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Kristen L. Mallot, 23, Brentwood Drive, Akron; and Jeremy D. Preston, 38, East Main Street A, Wabash. Preston was driving his vehicle north on South Zimmer Road when Mallot’s southbound vehicle drifted into his lane of travel. Preston swerved his vehicle to avoid a collision but the drivers of his vehicle collided with the front of Mallot’s vehicle. Damages up to $25,000.

3:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, East Fort Wayne Street near North Grant Street, Warsaw. Driver: Dale L. Smith, 29, North Meadow Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Smith was driving his vehicle, choked in the soda he was drinking. His vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. Damages up to $5,000.
