Matilda J. Long, 95, Pierceton, passed away at 6:25 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, in Paddock Springs Health Campus of Warsaw.

Matilda was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Kosciusko Co, to Dana and Nora (Thomas) Fawley. She was married to Homer Long on Feb. 15, 1941, in Swayzee.

She was a lifetime resident of Pierceton. Matilda enjoyed being a homemaker and an avid gardener.

Matilda is survived by one son, Tommy J. (Elaine) Long of Warsaw; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Long; one son Teddy Long and one daughter Mary Ann Long.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-noon, Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton with graveside services in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton at 12:30 p.m. Monday. Billy Smith will officiate the service.
