AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley High School announced Friday afternoon a fundraiser it will begin to help one of its own.

The announcement of liver cancer in Tippecanoe Valley teacher and coach Jeff Shriver hit the community hard, but in true fashion, the school and community are rallying support. Part of that motion is a fundraiser to help the Shriver family with treatment costs.

The school will be selling Valley Legend T-shirts as well as distributing Shriver Strong wristbands. The shirts are $15, with proceeds going to the Shriver family. Wristbands are open to any monetary donations. Fundraising will take place at Tippecanoe Valley High School next Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 3:30-5 p.m. as well as Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the home wrestling meet.

The school is offering 200 shirts to start, with orders to be taken once the initial order is sold out.
