WARSAW – A windstorm passing through much of Indiana is already resulting in gusts exceeding 60 mph, the National Weather Service reported Wednesday morning, Nov. 27.

A high wind warning is in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Winds ranging from 25 to 40 mph are expected through the day, diminishing slowly tonight.

The cause of the heavy winds is from a strong, deep low-pressure system centered over part of Wisconsin.

A spokesperson for NWS said they have received reports of wind gusts exceeding 60 mph in Grant and Fulton counties.

Crews are already responding to downed trees and limbs in Kosciusko County.

Tonight will be cloudy and breezy with a low of 32.

Thursday will be cloudy and breezy with a high of 41.

There is a chance of rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the weather service predicts.
