SYRACUSE — Syracuse/Wawasee Trails Committee announces the hiring of a new executive director. Erlene Yentes will be starting her duties Dec. 2. Yentes has experience in working with not for profits and grant writing and is an avid user of trails.

With the planning and now construction of the Conklin Bay trail segment underway the committee will be focusing on pinpointing the next areas of expansion, fundraising for those segments, as well as the continued maintenance of the more than 11 miles of trails currently under its care.

Yentes will be focusing on these areas as well as being the face of the trails in the community.
