
Billy Ray Slone, 37, passed away on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, in Leesburg, son of Rickey Slone, Sr. and Rachel Adams, and stepson of Tammy Slone. He was born in Columbia City, Indiana on September 26, 1982.
He loved animals, music and picking on his younger siblings, whom he loved very much.
Billy Slone is survived by a son, Dustin Compton of Huntington; his father, Rickey, his stepmother, Tammy; two brothers, Rickey (Britney) Slone, Jr. and Travis Slone, both of Wabash; and one sister, Amy Slone of North Manchester; and his paternal grandmother, Edna Slone of Sidney. He is also survived by three nephews, Jaymes and Skyler Slone, and Kayden Kelly, and one niece, Serenity McDermit. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Adams, his paternal grandfather, Paul Slone, his maternal grandparents, Bill and Linda Adams, and a nephew, Cassiel Slone.
A memorial service will be held at Free United Baptist Church, 7035 SR 13, Pierceton, at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 21. Services will be officiated by Pastor Ward (“Etsie”) Allen, and Pastor Luther Bailey.
The church will be open to receive any remembrances at 9am on Thursday, Nov. 21.
Arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services, Warsaw.
