WARSAW — It’s been 10 years since Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jeffery B. Shaw passed away.

On Nov. 12, 2009, Shaw was responding to a call when his patrol vehicle was struck by a large truck that had crossed the centerline of the roadway on SR 14, west of CR 100E. He was employed as a sergeant for the patrol division of the KCSO and was an 11-year veteran of the department.

Shaw passed away at the age of 40. Surviving were his wife, Angie; and his children, Nickolas and Isabella, who were 9 and 7 at the time of his death.

“Sgt. Shaw was a friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, a loving and caring family man,” said a KCSO Facebook post made today. “Proud to wear the brown and tan, Sgt. Shaw was always just a phone call away.”
