BREAKING: Republicans Sweep Warsaw City Council

WARSAW — Republicans in Warsaw turned back challenges from three Democrats and an Independent in city council races in Tuesday’s election.

Republican Mayor Joe Thallemer and Republican Clerk-Treasurer Lynne Christiansen were unopposed in their re-election bids.

Results from the four contested races:

In District 1, incumbent Republican Jeff Grose defeated Democrat Sarah McNeal Strahan-Lenfestey by a margin of 80.3 to 19.6.

In District 2, Republican Josh Finch defeated Independent Chris Plack by a margin of 56.0 to 43.9.

In District 3, Republican incumbent Michael Klondaris defeated Democrat Roxanne Coffelt by a margin of 75.0 to 24.9.

In District 5, Republican incumbent Diane Quance defeated Democrat Jack Brunetto by a margin of 73.9 to 26.1.

Three incumbent Republican city council members, Cindy Dobbins (at large), Jack Wilhite (at large) and Jerry Frush, of District 4, were unopposed.
