Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

7:17 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, County Farm Road, Silver Lake. Driver: Heather Richardson, 39, Seminole Lane, Wabash. Richardson’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000. 

6:57 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, SR 25, Mentone. Drivers: Connie Shewman, 79, Division Road, Akron; and Karl Hochstetler, 34, North CR 950W, Nappanee. Shewman was traveling north on CR 900W and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of SR 25. Shewman did not see Hochstetler’s vehicle and began turning left onto SR 25. The vehicles collided, and Hochstetler’s vehicle went into a ditch. Damage up to $10,000. 

6:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, SR 14, Silver Lake. Driver: Jeffery Brown, 40, Bouse Drive, Silver Lake. Brown’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000. 

4:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Driver: Carissa Stafford, 26, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Stafford’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000. 

12:39 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Dennis Jagger, 68, B26 Lane, Pierceton. Jagger’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500. 

11:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, SR 10, Etna Green. Driver: Rodney Bryant, 65, Lakeshore Drive, Macy. Bryant’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500. 

9:25 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, Greenwood Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Pamela Sullivan, 47, River Chase Drive, Warsaw. Sullivan’s vehicle struck some mailboxes. Damage up to $2,500. 

6:19 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, Packerton Road, Sidney. Driver: Jared Stout, 25, Sunrise Circle, Warsaw. Stout’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $25,000. 

11:27 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, South CR 275E, west of East CR 400S, Warsaw. Driver: Samuel J. Dirck, 21, Mill Street, North Manchester. Dirck’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000. 

7:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, Old Road 30, east of North CR 300E, Warsaw. Driver: Taylor Shepherd, 19, Jefferson Street, Bourbon. Shepherd’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500. 

6:09 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, East CR 350N, east of Airport Road, Warsaw. Driver: Michelle M. Gilmore, 55, B37 Lane, Warsaw. Gilmore’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500. 

2:54 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, North CR 900W, north of West CR 800N, Nappanee. Driver: Joshua R. Hartzell, 38, North CR 900W, Nappanee. Hartzell said he began coughing while he was driving north on CR 900W. He said he blacked out and when he came to, he had driven off the road and struck a mailbox and a fence. Hartzell complained of pain to his entire body but refused medical treatment at the scene. Damage up to $25,000. 

11:42 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, SR 15, south of West CR 600N, Warsaw. Driver: Joseph J. Losee, 36, Cherokee Road, Syracuse. Losee said he drove off the road and into a ditch in an attempt to avoid rear-ending the vehicle in front of him. Losee’s vehicle struck a road sign. Damage up to $5,000. 

Pierceton

Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:

1:13 p.m. Thursday, Oct.31, SR 13, Pierceton. Driver: Cody W. Demske, 22, North CR 175E, Warsaw. While pulling away from the fuel pump at Speedway, Demske’s vehicle struck a pump. Damage up to $1,000. 

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

10:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, Mill Street, Syracuse. A stolen trailer was found in the area of 804 N. Mill St., Syracuse. It appears that the trailer came unhitched from the suspect vehicle and rolled downhill, into a Nipsco pole. Damage up to $1,000. 

6:23 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, Huntington Street, Syracuse. An unoccupied vehicle was struck while parked in the Taco Bell parking lot. The driver of the other vehicle left the scene. Damage up to $2,500. 

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, South Scott Street, near East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Susan L. Vickers, 17, North Sunset Drive, Warsaw; and Ilah R. Applegate, 60, William Drive, Winona Lake. Vickers was traveling west on East Market Street when she stopped at an intersection. She then entered the intersection around the same time Applegate’s vehicle did, resulting in a collision. Damage up to $5,000.

9:05 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, SR 110 and Nutmeg Road. Driver: Myrtle Johnson, no other information available. Hit deer.

7:28 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, North SR 25, Rochester. Drivers: Jesse J. Garrison, 24, Rochester; and Aaron C. Day, 22, Rochester. Garrison’s vehicle collided with Day’s vehicle.
