Bill Dixon has announced his plan to run for state representative. He will be holding his first official fundraiser Thursday, Nov. 21. He believes, “As a district, you and I have been neglected for the past eight years. Now, because of my opponent’s ineptitude, we face losing the legislative seat altogether through redistricting.”
His election platform is focused on:

- Maintaining the legislative seat
- Equality in school spending, so rural students have as much to work with as urban students
- Saving the dam in Syracuse
- Stricter pull-over or yield laws for drivers approaching school buses and emergency vehicles
- Wireless rural broadband
As his first formal fundraiser he is naturally turning to his friends and neighbors around Syracuse and North Webster. He asks to join him at this fundraiser event and be part of the change.
The event is Nov. 21, 6 to 8 p.m., at Maria’s Restaurant, North Webster. The cost is $40 per person and they will be serving walleye and fried chicken.
RSVP via phone or text to (574) 275-2039.
