Editor’s note: Several communities changed their trick or treat hours from Thursday to Friday, due to inclement weather expected on Thursday. Warsaw, Winona Lake, Pierceton and Bourbon, North Webster and Syracuse have moved trick or treating to Friday.

Atwood

The Otterbein United Methodist Church in Atwood will have a trunk-or-treat event in its parking lot from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. There will be doughnuts and hot chocolate in the church’s fellowship hall.

Bourbon

Bourbon’s trick-or-treating will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.

Claypool

Claypool will have a “trunk or treat” event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Trunk or Treat will be held on Main Street between Section Street and Calhoun Street. Aside from candy, there will also be chili dogs, popcorn, coffee and hot chocolate, a bike giveaway, and games.

Etna Green

Etna Green’s trick-or-treating will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Leesburg

Leesburg’s trick-or-treating will be held in the town from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

• The Fire Department will have an open house to warm up and get treats from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Costume contest 7:30 p.m. North Webster Fire Department, 202 N. Main St.
• Clunette United Methodist Church will be hosting its annual Trunk or Treat and Fall Party from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

 

Mentone

Mentone’s trick-or-treating will be held in the town from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

The Chamber will have a costume judging contest at the Mentone Elementary School beginning at 7 p.m.

Milford

Milford’s trick-or-treat hours are 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Nappanee

Nappanee’s trick-or-treat hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. The city of Nappanee will also host a harvest party from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Nappanee, with a costume contest at 7:15 p.m.

North Webster

North Webster’s trick-or-treating will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov.1.

Pierceton

Pierceton’s trick-or-treating will be held in the town from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. 

Silver Lake

Silver Lake’s trick-or-treating will be held in the town from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.

• Stop by the Old Fire Station at 104 N. Jefferson St., Silver Lake between 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Each child will receive a candy bag and you may sign up to win a family prize. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served at this event.
• The Silver Lake Lions Club Halloween Party will be held at 7 p.m.Wednesday,  Oct. 30.

 

Syracuse

Syracuse’s trick-or-treat will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov.1.

• Miller’s Merry Manor Trick or Treat, 500 E. Pickwick Drive 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Free event.
• Superhero Halloween Carnival, Syracuse Public Library, 115 E. Main St. 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Quick games and candy, then continue trick or treating in town. Free event.
• The Syracuse RE/MAX Halloween party will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the RE/MAX Partners office at 300 S. Huntington St. There will be candy, hotdogs, family photos, family photos and a coloring contest.

 

Warsaw

Trick-or-Treating for residents inside of the Warsaw city limits will be from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. Organizers of First Friday are encouraging trick or treaters to come to First Friday. Note: preliminary plans for a costume contest. have been canceled.

Winona Lake

Winona Lake’s trick-or-treating will be from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.
