Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accidents:
10:26 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, South SR 25 near West CR 200 S, Warsaw. Drivers: Lucas M. Goble, 17, West CR 100 South, Warsaw; and Zachary A. Hodge, 17, South Manns Road, Claypool. Goble did not see Hodge’s vehicle while pulling out into an intersection, causing a collision. Damages up to $25,000.
9:41 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, South CR 250 E near East US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Magali Y. Rodriguez, 34, Inverness Point, Warsaw; and John Sims, 51, Reed Court, Wasilla, AK. Rodriguez was driving north on CR 250 E. Sims was in his vehicle behind her. At an intersection, she accidentally put her vehicle in reverse and backed into Sims’ vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
7:53 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, South Packerton Road near East CR 375 S, Warsaw. Driver: Dylan D. Stilllman, 28, Huffman Street, Winona Lake. Stillman was driving when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
9:42 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, East CR 1000N near North Koher Road East, Syracuse. Driver: Jennette J. Montgomery, 59, North Sandpoint Drive, Cromwell. Montgomery was driving east on CR 1000 N when she came to a curve and slid off the rain-slicked roadway into a tree. Damages up to $10,000.
5:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, Tanager Drive near Meadow Lark Blvd, Warsaw. Driver: Emcy D. De Garcia Hofferth, 41, West CR 1500 N, Akron. Hofferth backed into a parked car. Damages up to $10,000.
3:38 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, East SR 14 near South CR 400 E, Warsaw. Drivers: Jennifer J. Harris, 39, South CR 400 East, Warsaw; and Craig A. Wagoner, 46, South CR 100 E, Claypool. Wagoner said he was driving his vehicle east on SR 14 when Harris pulled out in front of him, causing his vehicle to collide with Harris’. Harris complained of pain over her entire body. Two passengers also complained of pain over their entire body. One passenger complained of head pain. Damages up to $50,000.
7:16 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, East CR 850S near South CR 700 E, Pierceton. Driver: Linda L. Beck, 60, South Merkle Street 1E, North Manchester. Beck was driving her vehicle when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
11:21 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, North SR 13 near North Nash Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Logan L. Miller, 18, East Blacks Court North, North Webster; and Paul D. Wyatt, 58, West SR 205, Columbia City. Miller was driving his vehicle north on SR 13 following Wyatt’s vehicle. Wyatt stopped in a construction zone, Miller did not and the front of his vehicle collided with the trailer attached to Wyatt’s vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
7:36 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, North SR 13 near East CR 1000N, Syracuse. Drivers: Adrianna P. Goble, 18, North Skyline Drive, Syracuse; Mathew A. Miller, 45, West Hillside Drive, Syracuse; and Austin S. Lutz, 23, South Thwaits Court, Syracuse. Gobel was driving her vehicle west on East CR 1000N. She said she stopped and didn’t see any vehicle coming. She proceeded into the intersection into the path of Miller’s vehicle. One of the vehicles, unclear in police documents, collided with Lutz’s vehicle who was stopped at the same intersection. Miller complained of lower back and left hip pain. Damages up to $10,000.
1:14 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, North SR 15 near West CR 600N, Leesburg. Drivers: Gregory S. Bell, 49, North Dovewood Trail, Warsaw; and Jacquelynn J. Smith, 73, East Oldfield Road, Leesburg. Bell was driving his vehicle east on CR 600 North and collided with Smith’s vehicle as she attempted to turn left on to CR 600 North from SR 15. Damages up to $10,000.
12:09 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, North CR 300E near East CR 700N, Leesburg. Drivers: Vanessa R. Holloway, 45, EMS T32 Lane, Leesburg; and William E. Young, 79, EMS T26 Lane, Leesburg. Holloway was driving her vehicle eastbound and Young was driving his vehicle northbound. Holloway said she accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake, crossed the path of Young’s vehicle, causing a collision. Damages up to $25,000.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
7:32 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, South Buffalo Street near West Prairie Street, Warsaw. Driver: Darrell W. Baker, 67, Fawley Street, Warsaw. Baker was driving when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
4:49 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, SR 15 near East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Sonya S. Anderson, 39, West CR 200 S, Warsaw; and Dennis L. Bever, 64, South CR 450 West, Claypool. Anderson ran a red light and collided with Bever’s vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
2:37 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, US. 30 near North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Kailey A. Stover, North CR 600 E, Warsaw. Stover was driving on the cloverleaf from 15 to US 30 when her vehicle slid to the left. Her vehicle hit the guard rail when she overcorrected. Damages up to $5,000.
11:32 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, North Parker Street near South Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Caleb L. Roatcap, 28, East CR 400 S, Warsaw; Gordon L. Allen, 37, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw; and Samuel B. Weaver, 33, East From Wayne Street, Warsaw. Roatcap collided with both vehicles during a police pursuit and was later apprehended by police. Damages up to $10,000.
1:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, US 30 near Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Sandra R. Hinshaw, 57, Oak Glenn Drive 4, Warsaw; Catherine J. Rhein, 37, North Sunset Drive, Warsaw; and Patricia S. Shively, 66, North County Line Road, Etna Green. Shivley was in the left turn lane on to US 30 out of Meijer Drive. She stopped for an emergency vehicle causing the Hinshaw’s vehicle to rear-end her vehicle and Rhein’s vehicle to rear-end Henshaw’s. Damages up to $10,000.
12:46 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, US 30 near CR 200N, Warsaw. Driver: Nur A. Isaq, 32, Oak Street 24, Syracuse. Isaq said he was driving his truck and trailer west on US 30. The traffic light at CR 200N changed to red, his brakes failed causing the vehicle to jackknife, resulting in a rupture in the right fuel tank on Isaq’s vehicle. Damages up to $25,000.
3:34 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, East Center Street near North Roosevelt Street, Warsaw. Driver: Caleb L. Roatcap, 28, East CR 400 S, Warsaw. Roatcap drove off the roadway and his vehicle struck a signpost and continued driving. Damages up to $1,000.
12:24 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, Lake City Highway near Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Rene Portillo, 29, Rebecca Circle, Montgomery, IL. Portillo was driving her vehicle when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $10,000.
3:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, East Market Street near South Harrison Street, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew J. Helton, 18, North Old Orchard Road, Warsaw. Helton drove his vehicle into the hitch of a parked vehicle while parallel parking during a driving exam. Damages up to $2,500.
