WARSAW — There will be two more public meetings this week to discuss the proposed creation of two residential TIF districts in Warsaw.
The final two meetings are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Harrison Elementary, and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eisenhower Elementary.
The proposal would then be reviewed by several boards before final approval will be considered.
The proposal follows a new state law that allowed taxing units to create tax increment finance districts to help boost residential development. Establishing TIF districts would allow the city to capture new property tax revenue and use it to provide infrastructure for residential development.
A representative from the city of Warsaw will be available to review maps and answer questions from the public.
Harrison Elementary is at1300 Husky Trail.
Eisenhower Elementary is at 1900 S County Farm Road.
