SYRACUSE — Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation recently opened two new trails on its Syracuse Lake Preserve property located at the confluence of Syracuse Lake, Bonar Lake, Mud Lake and Lake Wawasee.

Funding for the creation of the trails and trail signage was provided by a grant from the Harkless Foundation. Parking is available just south of the railroad tracks in a small lot for the Syracuse-Wawasee Trails.

The two new trails are free to walk upon from dawn to dusk.
