Harrison Lake Development is east of Husky Trail and north of the school. The land is undeveloped and zoned for R2 (residential).

The developer, Harrison Lake Development Inc., is from South Bend.

The board approved the final plat Monday night.

According to paperwork submitted to the plan commission, the subdivision meets all of the requirements for R2 zoning and the plan office indicated it saw no reason for it not to be approved.

The preliminary plat was approved by the city in 2006.

In one other matter, the board approved a final plat for property that is adjacent to the soon-to-open Greenmark farm equipment store that can be seen along US 30.

The plat creates four new lots from the original 21.25-acre tract. The subdivision will create access to CR 200W via an extension of Polk Drive.

The extension of the roadway will accommodate new utility lines.

The property will be developed for commercial use.
